Erin Quinn
Hi all, I’m Erin Quinn (she/her), a Syracuse born gemini who’s lived on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington state for the past 11 years. I spend much of my time here exploring nature, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, foraging, and gardening. My work as an educator led me to teaching children’s yoga and mindfulness, which eventually expanded into attending my first YTT. I went on to study more yoga, meditation, pilates, and sound healing; and enjoy integrating multiple modalities in my teaching. I truly believe in the practices I share with others, and have found them to be essential tools in my own growth, expansion, and healing. I am grateful to be a forever student alongside those I get to hold space for, and look forward to utilizing this Love Land portal to guide us inward.

Julie Whitesell
Julie Whitesell (she/her) is a passionate, lifelong yoga and meditation practitioner. She began practicing yoga at 9 years old when she found her mother's Crunch fitness yoga video tape and made all her friends do it with her (much to their chagrin). In 2021, she attended a meditation workshop hosted by Tara which included Tara's original ambient music as part of the meditations. It was a profound experience that created a cascade of healing within Julie's life. Through ups and downs, she has come back to yoga and meditation as a source of healing, light, and strength again and again. Most recently, Julie has found her calling in Kundalini yoga, studying under multiple teachers and working toward getting her certification to teach this year. She is honored to have been chosen as a Gatekeeper for Love Land and looks forward to learning and growing alongside this wonderful community. Blessings always!

Amy Janyce
Amy Janyce (she/her) is a resilient musician and computer engineer who became a dedicated meditation practitioner after losing her sense of self to workplace bullies, abusive relationships, and addiction. Curiosity found her pursuing a trauma informed Kundalini yoga certification after stumbling upon the term "nervous system regulation" in a random internet stranger's post which introduced her to these strange moving meditations. The effectiveness of these practices through the stress of caring for her mother-in-law during a cancer battle solidified her philosophy that we are all much stronger than we think when we slow down and let our hearts lead the way. Our power lies in our creativity which is accessed by listening deeply to the whispers within our bodies. She believes emotions are data and a meditation practice strengthens the relationship you have with your emotions such that your actions can be informed by your emotional experience rather than driven by it. She believes in the abundance of people power and a world where individuals and communities thrive in deep alignment with nature and the joyful expression of their truest selves.

She is happy to join the gatekeeper team to support in any ways that she can.
Our studio assistants (Gatekeepers) help hold the calm, welcoming presence of Love Land in our online classes. They also support our community by moderating our chat space, ensuring a safe and kind environment for everyone. (Community chat launching October 2025.)
The name “Gatekeeper” comes from traditional meditation and sangha practice, where a gatekeeper (or timer) is a volunteer who helps hold the space for everyone’s practice. They “guard the gate” in both a literal and energetic sense—welcoming participants, maintaining calm and order, and supporting a safe, undisturbed environment.
At Love Land, our Gatekeepers do the same for both online classes and community spaces. They help ensure that every participant can fully experience mindfulness, compassion, and connection without distraction, and that the energy of Love Land stays clear, supportive, and welcoming.
Let’s work together.
